About the image converter
Convert HEIC to JPG and more
iPhone photos are often HEIC, which many apps won't open. Pick JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF here. AVIF, JPEG XL, GIF, TIFF, BMP, ICO, SVG, TGA and PPM are under More formats.
Convert a whole batch at once
Add up to 50 images, tap a thumbnail to check it, then convert them all to one format. Download a single file directly, or the whole batch in one ZIP folder.
What changes and what doesn't
Images keep their full size and are saved at high quality, with no extra compression. JPG and PDF have no transparency, so clear areas turn white. Location and camera details aren't copied.
How to convert HEIC to JPG
- Tap Choose images and pick one or more photos. HEIC, PNG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF and most other formats open.
- Pick JPG, or another format such as PNG, WebP or PDF. Tap a thumbnail to check any image.
- Press Convert. Each image is converted on your device, one after another.
- Download the file, or the whole batch as one ZIP folder.
How do I convert HEIC to JPG on iPhone or Windows?
Open this page in Safari, Chrome or Edge, tap Choose images and select your HEIC photos. Pick JPG and press Convert. It works without an app, and Windows doesn't need the HEIF extension.
Can I convert several images at once?
Yes. Add up to 50 images, even in mixed formats, and convert them all to one format. Download them together in one ZIP folder.
Does converting reduce the quality?
Images keep their full resolution. PNG, TIFF and BMP are lossless. JPG, WebP and AVIF are saved at high quality, so the change is hard to see. Use the image resizer if you want smaller files.
Which format should I pick?
JPG opens almost everywhere and suits photos. PNG keeps transparency and sharp edges. WebP and AVIF make smaller files for websites. PDF is handy for sending a document, and ICO is for website or app icons.
What happens to transparent backgrounds?
PNG, WebP, AVIF, JPEG XL, GIF, TIFF, BMP, ICO, SVG and TGA keep transparency. JPG, PDF and PPM don't support it, so transparent areas become white.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Your images are converted in your browser and never leave your device. Location and camera metadata aren't copied into the new files.
Can it convert Live Photos or animated images?
The still image is converted. For Live Photos, HEIC bursts, animated GIFs and multi-page TIFFs, you get the first image.
