About the video toolA smaller clip, without sending it to a server.
Start with the bit you need
If a video is too big to share, trim the spare footage first. Then choose a format and quality, or set a target size in MB for a format that supports it. You can also crop the frame, lower the resolution or change the speed before exporting.
Which format should I pick?
MP4 is a sensible starting point for phones and everyday sharing. WebM is another option for the web. A smaller file usually means giving up some detail, especially in fast-moving scenes. Preview the result before deleting anything; the original file is left alone.
Why the first export takes longer
Your browser downloads the editing engine when it needs it, then does the work on your device. Long or high-resolution clips can take a while, particularly on a phone. Keep the tab open until the download is ready. If a clip struggles, try a shorter cut or a lower resolution.
